ViacomCBS Networks Americas partners with Knvoy for Master League

ViacomCBS Networks Americas, the Latin American subsidiary of media and entertainment conglomerate ViacomCBS, has announced a partnership with Brawl Stars Master League creator Knvoy.

As a result of the deal, the Master League will be broadcast on television streaming service Pluto TV.

Alongside Pluto TV, the Master League will also be shown on MTV in Latin America and Telefe in Argentina. Pluto TV’s logo will appear on a range of content related to the league, which features 13 Latin American football clubs fielding Brawl Stars teams.

Eduardo Lebrija, Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer at ViacomCBS, spoke on the partnership in a release: “ViacomCBS is everywhere, wherever our audiences are, at any time, and in the platform they choose. We are there with our content, creativity and experiences creating a multiplatform holistic ecosystem.

“We have the future pulse through our iconic brands, with streaming platforms such as Pluto TV, Paramount+ and our new initiatives related with Gaming and Esports hand in hand with Knvoy, which positions ourselves as a reference in the region in this entertaining segment”

After holding a talent search to select rosters, the teams competing in the Master League will face off for $100,000 (£~73,364) in prize money. The top four teams from each group will qualify for the playoffs.
Roberto Ramos Casas, Chairman of Knvoy, also commented: “Master League is Knvoy’s star brand on which we develop our core portfolio of events and experiences,  expanding the gaming audience to other sectors such as sports and music.
“This agreement with ViacomCBS will enhance the visibility of both the Master League and Knvoy’s future offerings. From MTV, Telefe, Pluto TV; ViacomCBS is the perfect partner for offerings like Master League to reach mass audiences.”
Esports Insider says: The Master League features some of the most recognisable football clubs in Latin America, and this partnership between Knvoy and ViacomCBS will enable fans of the clubs to support their teams across a number of platforms.
