According to the release, the events will take place in the United States, Spain, Netherlands, India, Australia and Sweden. Moreover, events will be organised in Madrid, Spain and Melbourne, Australia for the first time ever.

After the pandemic slowed down most esports events this year, DreamHack is set to produce its biggest year ever. The events set for 2022 include DreamHack Dallas in June, DreamHack Valencia in July, as well as DreamHack Summer in June and DreamHack Winter in November.

The tournament organiser’s 2022 calendar also includes DreamHack Atlanta, an event that was postponed this year due to the pandemic.

DreamHack events are primarily known for its esports tournaments and next year the company will deliver a number of competitions across different titles. Notable esports tournaments include DreamHack Dallas featuring Intel Extreme Masters Dallas and DreamHack Rotterdam hosting a CS:GO ESL Challenger event.

DreamHack Valencia will also feature ESL Challenger, as well as Halo: HCS Regional EU. Meanwhile, DreamHack Melbourne will host the League of Legends Circuit Oceania (LCO) Finals and the Halo: HCS Regional tournament for the ANZ region.

Krzysztof Pikiewicz, SVP of Festivals for ESL Gaming, commented: “Gaming brought, and kept, us together during these challenging times all around the world, so I cannot begin to share how excited we are to be back in person with our community.

“DreamHack creates a space for our community to connect, explore, win, play, and be themselves through an interactive, gaming lifestyle experience — and while we are offering DreamHack winter as a LAN-only event, bringing our full festivals back to life next year is going to make for some very special experiences for our community of fans.”

The Fighting Games Championship is set to commence at DreamHack Atlanta, meanwhile, DreamHack Summer and Winter will host the ESL Pro League Conference. Other esports competitions at the events have also been announced by DreamHack.
