Through the extension, Lenovo Legion now supply equipment to the organisation’s League of Legends, Rocket League, Fortnite, Rainbow Six Siege and sim racing teams, alongside G2 Gozen. According to a release, a range of ‘digital and physical activations’ between the two parties will take place over the course of 2022.

Carlos ‘Ocelote’ Rodiriguez, Founder and CEO of G2 Esports, spoke on the extension: “I am proud to see what our Gozen team accomplished in three months. Their dedication and their killer’s mentality are making them as entertaining to watch as challenging to play against.

“Ensuring that they have the best gear to continue having this level of success is our responsibility, hence why Lenovo taking part in the future of this team is a must for us.”

With Lenovo Legion extending, G2 Esports has a total of 20 partners on its roster including German automotive marque BMW, energy drink brand Red Bull, and gaming peripherals brand Logitech G. In November, the organisation announced the expansion of its sales territory to now include China, enabling consumers in the region to buy its e-commerce products.

Alberto Spinelli, EMEA Marketing Chief and Communications Officer at Lenovo, added: “The extension of this partnership between Lenovo Legion and G2 Esports is a natural fit. Both brands are synonymous with delivering great performance and together, we can ensure that all the G2 esports teams stay at the top of their game.

“We’re proud to be able to promote and recognise female gamers through this agreement with G2 Gozen.”

Esports Insider says: Lenovo Legion expanding its deal with G2 Esports is beneficial for both parties. The company gets to participate in a range of marketing activations with one of the most recognisable esports organisations in the world, meanwhile its rosters receive high-end equipment to use across a range of titles.
