Esports Fashion Group, the company behind Esports Fashion Week, has appointed Garrett Smith as Advisor to the Board of Directors: Content and Creative Activations.
In his new role, Smith will assist the company in content development and creative activations across all of its pillars.
Besides his role at Esports Fashion Group, Smith serves as a Community Manager for Audio peripheral brand ASTRO Gaming. According to the release, he is ‘key to the creative arms of the Esports Fashion Group’ as the company rolls out its supporting pillars.
Alex Bienert, Founder & Executive Chairman of Esports Fashion Group, spoke on the announcement: “Over the last year, Garrett has shown a tremendous amount of support for the development of esports fashion and the Esports Fashion Group’s wider goals.
“Garrett’s distinctive perspective of our industry and the growing subculture will be key to the development of the pillars as we move forward, and that is why the wider team and I are thrilled that Garrett has joined the Esports Fashion Group Board of Advisors. Garrett is a future leader that I look forward to learning from and working alongside.”
In addition, Smith will serve as a hosting talent for Esports Fashion Week and support its content production.
Smith commented on his appointment “When the team initially approached me with their vision for Esports Fashion Week, I instantly knew it was an exciting time for the industry. Being a part of the talent for the Esports Fashion Week Pilot, and more recently, covering the red carpet at the Esports Awards cemented, and most importantly, validated what we’re trying to achieve. We’re looking to expand on the foundations that we’ve already set.
“As part of my new role, I’m super excited to help guide the direction of the content we’re continuing to develop, furthering Esports Fashion Week and future shows, alongside some key pillars that we’re yet to announce.”
Esports Insider says: Smith’s years of experience, both as a community manager and content creator, is sure to help enhance the work of the Esports Fashion Group. It’ll be interesting to see how the company’s content and marketing strategies change following this appointment.
