SPORTFIVE is known for its partnerships with a number of traditional sports clubs, but is playing an increasingly active role in the esports industry. SPORTFIVE was the agency responsible for helping Fnatic strike its major partnership with fashion brand ASOS.

Eike Gyllensvärd, President of Global Esports at SPORTFIVE, commented on the partnership with Immortals: “Following the recent expansion of our US esports team, we are proud to partner with Immortals to help further the team’s commercial development.

“We will provide Immortals with our years of global esports experience and our vast global sales network to find the team the right opportunities to grow its brand and business.”

According to the release, SPORTFIVE recently acquired esports consulting and activation agency Build a Rocket, which now serves as the company’s esports consulting and activation arm.

Jordan Sherman, CEO of Immortals, added: “Immortals is on the attack and we’re experiencing a period of rapid growth. We’re relocating our business operations to the Great Lakes Region, we’re actively bringing on new partners, we’re expanding into new gaming titles, and executing a specific approach that makes us a “1 of 1” in the gaming ecosystem.

“SPORTFIVE has been a great partner in seeing the differentiated value proposition that we can bring to brand partners. We’re excited to continue to tap into their unique network to help drive our business forward during this growth period.”

It comes after Immortals’ announcement in November that the esports organisation is relocating its operations to the Great Lakes region in North America.

Esports Insider says: SPORTFIVE has a proven track record of helping sports brands realise their potential, and with the agency’s increasing activity and investment within esports, Immortals are one of many making the calculated choice to leverage SPORTFIVE’s expertise.
