North American esports organisation Version1 has announced a multi-year agreement with esports platform eFuse.
As a result, eFuse has been established as Version1’s official strategic branding and competition partner. Moreover, the platform’s branding will be featured on Version1’s Rocket League in-game cosmetic add-ons.

In addition to in-game exposure, the platform’s promotional rights have been extended to Version1’s Rocket League content and live streams. According to the release, the partnership aims to support the organisation’s Rocket League team, properties and content creators.
Patrick Klein, Chief Strategy Officer at eFuse, spoke on the announcement: “Our partnership with Version1 reflects mutual respect and appreciation for each other’s deep expertise in competitive gaming.
“After seasons of working together, we knew appealing to Version1’s incredible community would be a valuable investment in expanding our reach, while also formalising our production commitment to the team’s growing calendar of events. We’re really excited to root for Version1’s Rocket League team and bring high-quality events to their loyal fans.”
The Version1’s branded Rocket League in-game integration is a part of the game’s new Esports Decals feature which launched in October 2021. The feature allows partnered organisations to display sponsor branding in-game via customised vehicle and character cosmetic add-ons. Yesterday, Rocket League extended this feature to now include branded away kits for organisations.
As of today, ‘Away Kit’ and ‘Home Kit’ playable sponsored skins by RLCS-partnered teams will be available for purchase in the in-game store.
Version1 intends to showcase its customised in-game add-ons during RLCS’ 2021-22 Winter split North American regional event, which is set to take place from January 28th to 30th. The eFuse-branded skins will be featured throughout RLCS competition for the remainder of the 2021-2022 season.

Esports Insider says: The ability to display sponsor branding on Rocket League vehicles has provided a great opportunity for the teams to reinforce sponsor relations. The extension to include away decals should allow more RLCS-partnered organisations to reveal greater sponsorship deals in the near future.
