Version1 promotes Annie Scott Riley and Jake Trobaugh

North American esports organisation Version1 has announced the promotion of senior staff members Annie Scott Riley and Jake Trobaugh.

Scott Riley, the organisation’s former VP of Marketing and Creative, has been promoted to the role of Chief Marketing Officer. Meanwhile, Trobaugh has been named Vice President, as well as Head of Esports and Acquisitions. Previously he held the role of Director of Esports Strategy.

During her time in Version1’s creative department, Scott Riley led the organisation’s rebrand in February 2021 in addition to developing the identity of its Minnesota Røkkr Call of Duty League franchise. 

Moreover, Trobaugh joined the organisation in 2019 as an assistant coach to the CDL franchise before receiving a promotion to Director of Esports Strategy in 2020.

In addition to its CDL franchise, the organisation currently fields two rosters in VALORANT and a Rocket League team that competes in the Rocket League Championship Series (RLCS).

Brett Diamond, Chief Operating Officer at Version1, spoke on the promotions: “Annie is a visionary creative mind and has been a driving force in the development of multiple brands and initiatives that are the foundation of Version1’s identity. Now is the right time to elevate her role to reflect her achievements and support our continued growth.”

“As his role has grown, Jake has taken on oversight of all Verison1’s competitive rosters while contributing across the business side of the organisation. Our goal is to be a tier-one esports organisation and Jake understands that objective and plays a critical role in making that a reality.”
