Esports Insider is proud to announce that it has teamed up with #StreamersWithUkraine Marathon to support its charity campaign.
The campaign was launched by Organization.GG, together with WePlay Holding and Reface, in order to raise money for Ukrainians. All raised funds will directly go to Razom and Nova Ukraine, US-registered 501(c)(3) nonprofits helping Ukrainians on the ground.
Esports Insider has been named a media partner of the campaign.
During the #StreamersWithUkraine campaign, any influencer, streamer, or company may take part in the marathon. The goal is ultimately to help raise $1m (~£787,000) for humanitarian needs in Ukraine. The campaign kicked off on March 24th and will last till May 16th, 2022.
To start fundraising, participants can sign up at the official website. After the registration, talents will be able to contribute by sharing a unique PayPal donations link on social media, adding a donations QR code to the live streams, as well as playing games or hosting live experiences with viewers.
For the campaign, there are no minimum requirements or time commitments to participate in the campaign. Esports talent that have announced their participation include Jacob ‘Pimp’ Winneche and Michael ‘THINND’ McMahon. Moreover, talent agencies such as XSET, Evolved, Ader Gaming, Prodigy, AFK Creators are supporting the campaign.
“During the first week of the war, it felt like the product we were building was meaningless and useless… It did not save the lives of innocent Ukrainians or could not help win the war,” stated Dima Okhrimchuk, CEO of Organization.GG.
“However, we realised that by transforming our product into a charity platform, we could help spread awareness among Gen Z and raise charity funds to support millions of Ukrainians. Although the team was under constant bombardment, together with our partners, we managed to pull this off and contribute to helping Ukrainians who were forced to leave their homes and abandon their plans for the future.”
Alongside donating, some viewers will also have the opportunity to play or compete against pros or streamers in CS:GO, Dota 2, Call of Duty or Apex Legends as part of the #StreamersWithUkraine Marathon. One such activation will see supporters have an opportunity to play along Danil ‘Dendi’ Ishutin, Johan ‘N0tail’ Sundstein, among others.
It has also been announced that Organization.GG will take zero commission on these donations.
