Samsung is very active in the esports industry, with the company taking advantage of its large product portfolio to provide smartphones, smartwatches, displays, TV’s and other electronics to partners. The partnership with Vitality will be based on a series of Samsung TVs, the Neo QLED QN90B TV. Samsung is the first-ever official TV partner for the organisation.

Nicolas Maurer, CEO of Team Vitality, commented: “I am really excited and honoured to welcome Samsung to the Team Vitality family. As we strive for the best, Samsung TVs was an obvious choice given the excellence of its Neo QLED, which makes it the ultimate reference for our fans and gaming communities in general.”

Interestingly, Team Vitality recently announced a deal with Philips Monitors to become its official monitor partner. Moreover, the organisation’s other partners include Secretlab, French bank Crédit Agricole and sportswear brand adidas, among others.

Guillaume Rault, Vice President Consumer Electronics Division, Samsung Electronics France, added: “Samsung’s commitment is to offer the best possible TV experience, regardless of the type of content viewed by the consumer. Gaming is definitively not at rest when you consider that 49 percent of French gamers also play on TV.”

Esports Insider says: Samsung makes a lot of devices, and the choice to focus on TVs is an interesting one for sure. However, the partnership will also see content produced jointly by Samsung and Team Vitality, which could lay the foundation for a broader partnership in the future.
