Esports performance company Adamas Esports has announced the acquisition of its European competitor Gscience.

As a result, Adamas will integrate Gscience’s leadership, coaches and clients into the company. Moreover, Adams has acquired and will utilise Gscience’s entire tech stack and mobile application.

Both companies work with esports organisations and tournament organisers aiming to improve performance. The services not only provide tactical, practical and in-game analytical details but also looks into the culture and player wellness of organisations.

According to the release, the merger is part of Adamas’ strategy for an aggressive expansion into the European market, which will now be bolstered due to Gscience’s regional expertise.

Adamas Esports CEO and Founder, Caleb Cousens, commented: “Over the last several years, we’ve helped our partners reimagine their training programme into a comprehensive, 360-degree approach that balances in-game strategy with out-of-game wellness. Alongside our new Gscience colleagues, we’ll now bring that same, sports-science-based approach to new markets both abroad and in-app.”

Even prior to the Gscience acquisition, Adamas has a portfolio of clients that includes TSM FTX, Version1, PUBG Esports, EA Sports FIFA and South American organisation INTZ. One of the most recent partnerships closed by the company was with Call of Duty League franchise New York Subliners, which is owned by NYXL.

He said: “We’ve admired and competed against Adamas for years, and we’re now thrilled to help elevate its already market-leading position across our native territory of Europe, and beyond.”

Scollan will now take the role of Managing Director, Europe, at Adamas. Financial details on the merger were not disclosed.

On its official Twitter account, Adamas stated: “Our aggressive expansion efforts arrive in the wake of an increasing industry-wide commitment to athlete wellness, performance, and mental health.”
