Esports event organiser and production company BLAST has announced the appointment of Chrystina Martel as its new Head of Esports Product.
In her position, Martel will be tasked with increasing the overall quality of BLAST events and offerings, as well as developing new esports products for the company. BLAST said that Martel will work with both ‘internal departments and external partners’ during her time at the company.
Prior to joining BLAST, Martel worked for almost 10 years at ESL Gaming, another known esports events and production company. There she held the positions of Communications Manager, Partner Manager, and lastly Project Manager in the Data Protection department. Martel left ESL in September 2021 prior to joining BLAST this August.

BLAST has been quietly preparing for the second part its CS:GO season, which is set to start later this month, and have teased a merchandise partnership with global sportswear brand Nike to create clothing items. The company has also announced that it plans to hold its Global Finals, the culmination of its CS:GO circuit, in Abu Dhabi in December.
