In-game advertising platform Bidstack has announced the appointment of Jude O’Connor as the company’s new Chief Revenue Officer.

According to Bidstack, the new appointment signals a strong new push into the US market. As such, O’Connor will be tasked with overseeing global revenue and growth, scaling Bidstack and raising awareness of the company in the US.

Bidstack is known for its in-game advertising platform, as well as its partnerships with esports companies and brands. The company has notably teamed up with football club Norwich City for its esports brand 1J Esports. Moreover, it also has partnerships with Take-Two Interactive, Codemasters and others. Fans of Football Manager will likely be familiar with Bidstack since its in-game advertising solution was first utilised on the game in 2017.

O’Connor joins Bidstack after more than seven years at AdColony, a well-known mobile gaming monetisation platform. O’Connor was part of the team that helped AdColony secure two awards for AdWeek’s Mobile Ad Network of the Year, and was instrumental in leading AdColony towards a successful exit in 2021.

In his new role, O’Connor will be tasked with scaling Bitstack’s teams and focusing on ‘educating the US market on Bidstack’s in-game technology’, the company announced in a release. He will also work on leading the Bidstack team across sales, publishing, marketing and strategy.

James Draper, Founder and CEO of Bidstack, said: “I’m really excited to welcome Jude to Bidstack. Jude has an unrivalled track record of establishing and scaling businesses in the gaming and adtech space, and I look forward to working with him to help execute on our commercial vision, together.

“Attracting talent of this calibre is a testament to the growth of Bidstack as a business and the huge, untapped opportunity for in-game advertising within the market.”
