Brazilian esports organisation Los Grandes has announced betting website EstrelaBet as its latest Counter-Strike: Global Offensive sponsor.

The deal will cover the organisation’s main and the academy CS:GO teams, both of which will display the EstrelaBet logo on their jerseys. The brand will also be shown in live streams of Los Grandes’ content creators.

According to Los Grandes Founder Rodrigo ‘El Gato’ Fernandes, one of the messages looking to be highlighted throughout the one-year deal is centred around placing bets safely and effectively.

Brazilian betting brand EstrelaBet has slowly gained prominence across the local esports scene. In August, it was announced as the naming rights sponsor of Fluxo’s CS:GO team. The betting website is also a sponsor of Brazilian football team SC Internacional, which in July launched its esports project.

EstrelaBet Head of Sponsorships Rafael Zanette commented on the decision of sponsoring another CS:GO team after closing with Fluxo: “The world of esports and competitions is magnificent. By getting even closer to this audience, we noticed how much we could add to this ecosystem and we found another ideal partner for this, Los Grandes.”

Los Grandes experienced quick growth over the last year, expanding from Free Fire to also field rosters in CS:GO and VALORANT. Earlier this year, Los Grandes acquired a franchise spot in the Brazilian League of Legends Championship (CBLOL) to reaffirm its status as one of the main organisations in Brazilian esports. The CS:GO team, though, failed to qualify for the IEM Rio Major 2022, an objective also not achieved by Fluxo EstrelaBet.

EstrelaBet joins retail store Americanas, crypto exchange platform Bisto and education platform Rocketsteat as a Los Grandes sponsor. The organisation also promotes technology company GEMU, which is a property of Los Grandes since March 2022. In an interview with Esports Insider in May 2022, the organisation’s Co-Owner Rodrigo Terron projected to boost revenue by 300% to $8.65m (~£7.4m) by the end of the year.
