Mobile esports tournament Snapdragon Pro Series, created jointly by chip manufacturer Qualcomm Technologies and ESL FACEIT Group, has expanded its esports ecosystem for season two.

Clash of Clans will return to the North America region and League of Legends: Wild Rift will make its debut as a Challenge title in the EU/MENA region. Brawl Stars will also be featured in the second season of the Snapdragon Mobile Challenge.

The Snapdragon Pro Series is a worldwide mobile esports tournament series. The series is divided into three tiers; the Open tier is for entry-level competitions, followed by the Snapdragon Mobile Challenge, and lastly the Snapdragon Mobile Masters. Every tier of the competition has its own specific games, and not all games are featured at all levels of the competition.

Despite its inaugural season only concluding earlier this year, Snapdragon Mobile Open Season 2 is already underway, with Open Cups live in some regions.

The Snapdragon Pro Series will also continue its partnership with PUBG Mobile Club Open, and will host tournaments in PUBG Mobile in NA, Europe, Middle East and North Africa. The overall prize pool for the PUBG Mobile part of the competition will be $200,000 (~£187,000)

The biggest changes for the upcoming season are where select games will be placed within its tiered system. The Snapdragon Open Cups will now feature Asphalt 9: Legends, Brawl Stars, Clash of Clans, Wild Rift, Clash Royale, Free Fire, Legends of Runeterra and PUBG Mobile.

The Challenge tier of the competition will see Clash of Clans included in the North America region, and Wild Rift as a new title in the EUR/MENA region. Asia-Pacific will also host tournaments in Free Fire and Wild Rift at the Challenge level.

Brawl Stars will remain in the top tier, with Snapdragon Mobile Challenge players also getting the ability to qualify for the Masters tier this season.

Kevin Rosenblatt, SVP of Game Ecosystems at ESL FACEIT Group, commented: “As Season 1 has come to an epic conclusion, we can’t wait to see our expanded Season 2 bring even more aspiring stars and mobile veterans from around the globe into the Snapdragon Pro Series. Season 2 will feature a lineup of world leading mobile game titles.”
