North American esports organisation Complexity Gaming has signed Dallas Cowboys cornerback Trevon Diggs to its Complexity Stars roster.

Diggs will work with Complexity to grow the organisation’s online presence. This includes collaborating with the organisation’s talent roster and creating content for its social media channels.

Complexity Stars is most easily described as the esports organisation’s celebrity division. While not competing professionally, Complexity Stars aims to connect known figures from sports and entertainment to the organisation to increase Complexity’s reach with mainstream audiences, as well as the celebrity’s reach within gaming and esports.

Complexity Stars currently fields former NBA player J.R. Smith, LA Galaxy and former Manchester United striker Javier “Chicharito” Hernández, LA-based DJ duo Lost Kings, and other NBA, NFL, and MLB players. The signing of Diggs also has a local effect with both the Dallas Cowboys and Complexity Gaming being Texas brands.

The 24-year-old said that his love for gaming is the main thing that brought him towards Complexity. Briggs said: “Complexity and the Cowboys share the same hunger for greatness, and it was a natural fit for me to join an esports organisation that understands the culture of sports and gaming.”

Details of in-person events and activations that will take place were not disclosed, with Complexity noting that Diggs himself will be sharing details of upcoming branded content and possible collaborations with other athletes. Information will also be available on Complexity’s channels.

Duane ‘Zeno’ Jackson, Head of Complexity Stars at Complexity Gaming, added: “In one short year, Trevon Diggs has made a name for himself in the NFL, and now he’ll be able to carve a similarly dominant niche online.

“Complexity Stars provides athletes like Diggs with the resources to convert their passion for gaming and stardom into intimate, engaging experiences for fans new and old – especially among those here in Dallas.”
