Southeast Asian esports and gaming company Tier One Entertainment has launched ALLIANCE, an incubator programme designed to curate a pool of personalities in the Web3 space.
The ALLIANCE programme will look to train chosen individuals to become ‘opinion leaders’ in blockchain and cryptocurrency content creation, according to a release.
The initial list includes the likes of basketballer Jared Dillinger, wellness coach Chris Tan, content creator Crisostomo ‘Chibiby’ Tan Jr., multimedia creative John Sedano and DJ Patty Tiu, among others.
This is Tier One’s fourth influencer programme, following the likes of AMPLFY, ARDENT and ASCEND, however, this is its first focus on the Web3 space. Specifically, Tier One’s ASCEND programme is tailored to amateur esports athletes and teams, as well as brands looking to enter the sector.
The organisation is also the owner of Blacklist Invitational, which won last year’s Mobile Legends Bang Bang World Championship (M3).
Joining ALLIANCE’s individuals are prominent Web3 executives such as Block Tides Founder Myrtle Ramos, Stock Smarts CEO Marvin Germo, and Tetrix CEO Emman Navalan. In addition, the programme will be led by Tyrone Anthony Bretaña. Tier One’s Head of ALLIANCE has considerable experience in the e-commerce sector, notably as Foodpanda’s Senior Business Development Manager.
Tryke Gutierrez, CEO of Tier One Entertainment, commented: “As a company that has multi-millions in following in the Web2 space, our role is to be able to help bring the attention and the traffic and help contribute to the mainstream adaptation of Web3. We are confident that our future plans for Web3 will help bring a new generation of users to the exciting space.”
The announcement not only highlights the growing relationship between gaming culture and Web3, but it continues the narrative of esports entities branching out into other avenues. Fellow Southeast Asian esports organisation Ampverse launched its own Web3 division earlier this year.
