North American esports organisation OpTic Gaming has partnered with restaurant chain Wingstop for OpTic Texas Major III.

As a result, Wingstop has become the presenting sponsor for the third Call of Duty League (CDL) Major, which is taking place March 9th-12th.

Wingstop will also join forces with the OpTic Texas CDL franchise. As the ‘official wing of OpTic Texas,’ the restaurant’s logo will appear on the team’s jerseys alongside a range of social media activations and the launch of a content series.

The third Major of the CDL season takes place at Esports Stadium Arlington in Texas and marks Wingstop’s first foray into the esports industry. All 12 CDL teams will compete over the four days for a share of $500,000 (~£405,990) in prize money.

Wingstop becomes the sixth partner for the OpTic Texas Major. It joins the likes of controller manufacturer SCUF Gaming, snack brand Jack Link’s and food delivery service Favor.
