David Dashtoyan joins Tundra Esports as Head of Business Development

London-based esports organisation Tundra Esports has announced the appointment of David Dashtoyan as its new Head of Business Development.

Dashtoyan will lead commercial and business development operations for Tundra Esports, as well as work towards securing new business opportunities for the company.

Tundra Esports is a British esports organisation most known for winning The International in 2022. Alongside, Dota 2 the organisation also fields teams in Fortnite and Rocket League.

Dashtoyan joins the company after leaving MTS Group, the parent company of esports organisation Gambit Esports and WASD.TV. Prior to that, Dashtoyan worked at Russian esports organisation Virtus.pro and co-founded his own esports team Forward Gaming. Interestingly, two of the current Tundra Esports Dota 2 players played for Forward Gaming in 2018.

According to Tundra Esports, Dastoyan will take over all commercial and business development operations at the company, but also work with the organisation’s leadership to further define the vision and value of Tundra’s brand.

Tundra Esports is also known for having a relationship with Premier League player Virgil Van Dyk, who has been company’s shareholder and ambassador since 2022.

David Dashtoyan, Tundra Esports’ new Head of Business Development, commented: “I immediately pledged my allegiance to Tundra right after the Dota 2 roster announcement when I saw that two of the team members – Sneyking and Aui_2000 – also competed for my own team that I founded in New York back in 2018.

“I travelled to Singapore to cheer for the guys at The International 2022, and the moment they lifted the Aegis of Immortal, I knew I had to become a part of Tundra’s legacy. I look forward to helping drive Tundra’s vision to become a household name for the gaming community.”
