North American esports organisation Complexity has announced it will host an invitational VALORANT tournament aimed at female and non-binary teams and players.

The Complexity Gaming Paradox Invitational powered by Lenovo Legion will see eight teams compete for its $10,000 (~£8,290) prize pool.

The tournament will take place from March 25th-26th as a celebration of Women’s History Month. The eight participating include the Complexity’s GX3 roster, Evil Geniuses, CLG Red, and Leviatan.

According to a release, the event is the first in a series of female and non-binary VALORANT events that will be hosted by Complexity. Information on future events was not disclosed

Complexity continues to provide opportunities for women and marginalised genders to compete in esports. Prior to announcing the VALORANT invitational, the organisation launched an invitational Apex Legends event alongside content creator Clara ‘ClaraATwork’ Gomez.

Lenovo Legion first collaborated with Complexity in March 2022 after the two parties entered a multi-year partnership, resulting in Lenovo becoming the organisation’s exclusive laptop and desktop PC provider.

The Complexity Gaming Paradox Invitational also isn’t the organisation’s first VALORANT tournament. In December 2020, it partnered with Nerd Street Gamers to host the inaugural Complexity VALORANT Invitational.

Justin Kenna, CEO of GameSquare, spoke on the news: “Complexity has a longstanding record of supporting underrepresented gamers with half of their creator roster identifying as women.

“By empowering diverse voices and providing opportunities for gamers of all backgrounds, we’re creating a more equitable and sustainable future for esports.”
