Norwegian esports organisation Heroic has announced a partnership with sim racing hardware brand VRS to support its sin racing division.

Heroic drivers will use VRS racing simulator hardware going forward. This includes the brand’s racing rig. The two brands did not mention the duration of the partnership or any financial details.

VRS (short for Virtual Racing School) is a company specialising in lessons tailored to aspiring sim racers. The company has its own education and training segments, supported by professional sim racing drivers. VRS announced an entry into the hardware market in 2019 and now offers a range of sim racing hardware such as pedal sets and wheelbases.

Heroic, a Norwegian esports organisation, is most known for its CS:GO team. However, it also fields a team of four sim racing drivers that compete in Rennsport, a sim racing title most known for being a base for ESL R1.

This is one of the first partnerships focused on esports for VRS, and also one of the first partners for the Heroic sim racing team. The Heroic Rennsport team was created in early 2023 and is yet to show its abilities in competition.

The partnership with VRS is also the first partnership for Heroic after the company managed to raise much-needed funds in March 2023.

Heroic shared the following statement on its website: “At Heroic, we are committed to supporting our athletes in every way possible, and this partnership with VRS is a testament to that commitment. We are excited to work with VRS and their expert team to help our racers achieve their full potential and be competitive at the highest level.”
