UK-based gaming and esports event organiser EPIC.LAN has announced a partnership with networking hardware manufacturer DrayTek.

DrayTek will become the official network partner for EPIC.LAN in 2023 and 2024. Moreover, DrayTek products will be used to ensure internet access for all participants and visitors of EPIC.LAN. In addition, DrayTek will showcase its consumer-oriented products at the event.

DrayTek is a Taiwanese enterprise networking hardware manufacturer, specialising in routers, switchboxes and other hardware used to connect large-scale networks to the internet. The company has recently been making small, but important steps, in the UK esports industry.

The company has recently partnered with another British organisation, the National Student Esports, to provide networking hardware for the British Esports University Championships and other activations. The partnership with EPIC.LAN seems to be slightly larger in scale, as it will also feature showcases of DrayTek consumer products during EPIC.LAN events in 2023 and 2024.

In addition to the mentioned activations, EPIC.LAN has announced that it plans to deploy DrayTek hardware across a range of other UK and Ireland gaming and esports events, as part of its technical services agency offering.

This year’s EPIC.LAN will take place at Wolverhampton Racecourse from July 27th to 30th.

Gareth Long, Business Director at DrayTek, commented on the deal: “We are delighted to be partnering with a renowned esports entity like EPIC.LAN. DrayTek’s collaboration with EPIC.LAN exemplifies our commitment to supporting the gaming community and providing superior networking solutions for competitive gaming.

“By joining forces with them, we aim to create an immersive and seamless LAN tournament environment that truly showcases the passion and skill of competitive gaming.”
