Esports tournament operator Esports Middle East (ESME) has been awarded a certification by Great Place to Work, a global research and management consultancy.

ESME has become the first gaming company in the UAE to achieve the certification, which has been awarded to highlight the company’s workplace culture.

Esports Middle East has gained traction in the MENA market over the last 12 months, largely due to its partnership with Moonton for the Mobile Legends Pro League (MPL MENA) event. Alongside hosting local legs for various esports events in the Middle East, ESME has helped produce Arabic broadcasts for the PUBG Mobile Global Championship 2021, M4 World Championship and the Asia Games.

The company also runs an Arabic esports news portal, as well as AI-powered esports competition platform ArabEsports.

Since its foundation in 1992, Great Place to Work aims to recognise workplaces across the globe, with the company operating across over 60 countries. In the company’s UK database, the likes of Booking.com, DHL, Papa John’s, and The Prince’s Trust, among others, are all certified companies. According to Great Place to Work, the company has surveyed more than 100m employees.

Games developer Riot Games is also among the list of certified companies under its US branch. Earlier this year it was announced that Riot had been given final approval for its $100m settlement in the widely publicised 2018 gender discrimination case.

According to Saeed Sharaf, CEO and Co-Founder of ESME, the award further recognises the passion of its workforce, with the company previously winning Tencent’s 2020 ‘Excellent Service Provider” and the 2023 ‘Excellent Partner of the Year’ awards.

Ibrahim Mougharbel, Managing Director of UAE for, Great Place To Work Middle East, commented: “Congratulations to the UAE’s first Great Place to Work Middle East certified esports company for their exceptional focus on employee satisfaction and workplace culture. It is truly inspiring to see an organisation prioritise the well-being of its employees, leading to this remarkable achievement.

“By valuing the opinions and feedback of their workforce, Esports Middle East sets an incredible example for organisations all around the world. This is a testament to their commitment to fostering a work environment where employees feel valued and supported.”

We’ve created a ranking system to help you quickly know how good each gambling platform is. As gamblers ourselves, we know which factors matter most to you, so we follow a best-in-class methodology to test each one with no stone unturned. Once done, we then rank each platform based on the following tiers:
  • A-Tier High-quality sites that deliver a top experience every time. They boast strong performance, nice features, and reliable support, but are just shy of perfection.
  • B-Tier Solid platforms that are worth a spin. They’re safe, fun, and functional, but may be lacking advanced features or have minor drawbacks.
  • S-Tier Reserved for elite operators only. These go well beyond the norm with lucrative bonuses, rewarding promotions, lightning-fast payouts, and a flawless experience overall.
