Update 17/10/23: Prodigy Agency had provided additional information surrounding the partnership, as such new information has been added.
French esports organisation Team Vitality has announced a Counter-Strike-focused partnership with skin trading site Tradeit.
As part of the deal, Tradeit will be featured on Team Vitality’s jersey at the upcoming IEM Sydney, which will take place on October 16th. Tradeit will also support Team Vitality as the organisation transitions into the Counter-Strike 2 esports circuit.
This includes creating activations for players and fans alike, as well as having Team Vitality players become Tradeit ambassadors.
The partnership was made possible by esports players and marketing company Prodigy Agency. Prodigy clients, ZywOo, apEX, flameZ and Spinx, all of whom play for Team Vitality, will be featured in many of Tradeit’s upcoming activations.
This is not only a partnership between Tradeit and Team Vitality but it also marks a collaboration with the four players, as they all have a yearly individual sponsorship with the trading platform.
Earlier in September, game developer Valve officially launched Counter-Strike 2, the successor of the esports title Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO), introducing several major gameplay changes. As a result, esports teams will transition to the new title in the upcoming month, with the first Counter-Strike 2 Major reportedly taking place in March 2024 in Copenhagen.
Tradit becomes the latest team to partner with Team Vitality. Earlier this year the French organisation secured a two-year deal with car brand KIA. Moreover, Team Vitality announced an EAFC-focused collaboration with French football club LOSC Lille.
Nicolas ‘Nico’ Maurer, Co-owner, Founder, and CEO of Team Vitality, commented: “We’re pleased to partner with an organisation that is dedicated to improving the Counter-Strike esports ecosystem.
“Tradeit has been a mainstay of the Counter-Strike community and we’re excited to work alongside them to develop new and exciting activations for our fans! It’s an incredible time for everyone as we adapt and prepare for the next chapter of Counter-Strike, and we’re pleased to have Tradeit support us as we look to dominate the CS2 esports scene,” Maurer added.
