Talent management and marketing agency AFK has announced a new venture with Jesus College in Oxford and the Oxford University Esports Society to create an esports suite on campus.

The venue will be used by students interested in esports and gaming to watch matches, network and practice playing esports titles, among other gaming activities.

According to a post by AFK’s co-founder Matt Woods, the new Suite is part of a broader partnership between AFK, Jesus College and Oxford University’s esports society. The esports marketing and talent agency is an important partner for the University’s esports efforts, especially the Oxford University Esports Society, the main esports community on campus. The Esports Society regularly organises charity esports events and serves as the hub for all things esports at the University.

AFK is a well-known name in esports, having several business verticals and partnerships with known brands in the field, such as NRG.

The company specialises in talent management, consultancy, and attention marketing, and has a wide roster of content creators ranging from TikTokers, YouTubers, Twitch streamers, and other creators.

The Esports Suite was made possible through the partnerships between AFK and hardware brands NZXT and Viewsonic, as well as custom PC brand Scan Computers. While details about the new venue are slim, it will feature gaming PCs for students to use.

The official opening ceremony, set to take place on December 12th, will feature live streamed esports match for all attendees to enjoy. Talks from the University leaders and esports experts, as well as gaming sessions, are also planned.

Jesus College will also be the venue for the upcoming edition of ESI Next Gen, the premier event for professionals and students interested in esports and education, in early March 2024. Tickets for the event are available here.

ESI Ranking System
We’ve created a ranking system to help you quickly know how good each gambling platform is. As gamblers ourselves, we know which factors matter most to you, so we follow a best-in-class methodology to test each one with no stone unturned. Once done, we then rank each platform based on the following tiers:
  • A-Tier High-quality sites that deliver a top experience every time. They boast strong performance, nice features, and reliable support, but are just shy of perfection.
  • B-Tier Solid platforms that are worth a spin. They’re safe, fun, and functional, but may be lacking advanced features or have minor drawbacks.
  • S-Tier Reserved for elite operators only. These go well beyond the norm with lucrative bonuses, rewarding promotions, lightning-fast payouts, and a flawless experience overall.
