German esports organisation CGN Esports has announced a partnership with global computer peripherals and hardware brand Razer.

The partnership will be focused on CGN’s VALORANT and Fortnite teams, and will see the players equipped with Razer peripherals and the two brands working together on product development and improvement.

CGN Esports is an esports organisation based in Cologne, Germany and founded in 2020.

The organisation is best known for its VALORANT roster, its content creators and for its activities in the local Cologne esports scene. The organisation has worked together with the University of Cologne on different activations and events in its home city.

The partnership with Razer is focused on CGN’s VALORANT and Fortnite rosters, whose players will use Razer peripherals going forward. The two brands noted that besides providing players with gear, they plan on working closely to translate the experiences of the players to further develop Razer’s products.

This is not a new move by Razer, a hardware brand that has a diverse roster of partnerships with numerous esports teams around the world.

In a Razer interview with Esports Insider earlier this year Khang Thai, Razer’s Senior Manager for Global Marketing in Esports, commented on the company’s approach of running customised collaborations with high-profile names and enlisting the help of its partner teams.

David Dick, COO and Co-Owner of CGN Esports, said: “Partnering with Razer is a dream come true. It’s a testament to our growth from newcomers to a significant force in esports. With Razer’s top-notch products, we are poised to reach new heights in the DACH and international gaming scenes.”
