We’re less than a month away from ESI London 2024, the first edition of the highly regarded esports industry event under its new one-day format. With a packed agenda to fit into one day, we’ve put together a guide on what to expect from ESI London this year.

What is ESI London?

ESI London is the world’s esports & video games industry festival, organised by Esports Insider’s events arm ESI Events. It brings together stakeholders from the esports, video game, and creator economy sectors for networking and discussions on how to drive industry growth and development.

The event typically combines networking opportunities with panels, workshops and other activities offering a platform for key stakeholders to discuss and debate industry topics and issues.

ESI London first took place in 2018 and has been run every year since, apart from 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This year, Esports Insider’s events arm ESI Events announced that its flagship event is moving to Lisbon and ESI London was changing format to a one-day event.

ESI London 2024 details

ESI London 2024 takes place on June 13th, once again returning to long-term venue BOXPARK Wembley with its renowned combination of activities — including the popular fast-paced pop-themed crazy golf, and extensive array of indoor food stalls.

With the tagline Bridging Worlds, Forging Futures, this year’s event will feature a mix of workshops and presentations alongside main stage session panels. Panel topics include age regulation in esports, the rise of UK esports events, the efficacy of esports degrees, where football clubs belong in esports, long-term success in livestreaming and more.

ESI London 2024 will also feature The Gaming Zone, run by UK tournament organiser EPIC.LAN and geared out with kit from UNEVN, Cherry Xtrfy and Noblechairs. It will be open all day on the 13th from 10:00 through to closing at 23:00. The Gaming Zone forms part of ESI Events’ ongoing efforts to diversify and put the fun in networking. Attendees can use this low-lit, air conditioned and well-geared room to bond over what our industry is built on: a shared love for entertaining video games.

Over 500 attendees are expected to attend ESI London 2024 from 30+ countries, with over 20 media outlets, 15 teams and 40 brands in attendance. ESI London 2024 tickets can be purchased here.

A slate of leading brands and companies have already confirmed their attendance including Intel, Samsung, Ubisoft, EA, NEC Group, GGTech and many more. Esports Insider has already revealed several sponsors supporting the event, including CVP, London & Partners, Shikenso, PlayVS, SideQuest and others.

The event sits alongside the BLAST Premier Spring Final, a Counter-Strike esports event, which takes place a stone’s throw away in Wembley’s OVO Arena from June 14th-16th.

An Evening With

ESI London 2024 will additionally see the debut of An Evening With, a new fan-focused event, in the evening of June 13th. The first edition of An Evening With is a community event for Counter-Strike fans featuring legendary Counter-Strike player Christopher ‘GeT_RiGhT‘ Alesund.

An Evening With attendees can expect a talk and subsequent Q&A with GeT_RiGhT about his stories as a pro player, his time in the competitive scene and hot takes on Counter-Strike esports. The talk will be followed by The Great Big Gaming(+) Quiz, food and drink, gaming, and other yet-to-be-announced surprises.

The first 50x Premium ‘An Evening With’ ticket purchases will also be given a free ticket to Day 1 (Friday 14th) of the BLAST Premier Spring Final at OVO Arena, Wembley. An Evening with tickets can be purchased here.
