The 2024 LCS Championship, the season finale for League of Legends’ franchised North American series, will head to the YouTube Theater in Los Angeles for its Finals.

The 2024 LCS Finals will take place from September 6th to 7th and sees teams compete to become North American champion and qualify for the League of Legends World Championship. Previous LCS Finals have occurred in New York City, Chicago and Detroit.

Opened in 2021, the YouTube Theater will hold approximately 5,000 fans for both days of the LCS Finals. The event is the first time an esports event has taken place at the venue, with the facility typically hosting music concerts and comedy shows on a regular basis.

The 2024 LCS Finals follows Riot Games’ announcement that it plans to merge the LCS with CBLOL and LLA to create a pan-American league for the 2025 season. As a result, the LCS would become the northern conference featuring eight teams and three splits. The third split will feature a pan-Ameican championship to determine the three teams that will qualify for the 2025 World Championship.

Throughout 2023, the LCS struggled to generate high viewing figures but its 2024 Spring Split showed signs of change. The opening split of the year recorded peak viewership of 246,184, significantly higher than the two previous tournaments.

Elsewhere, the LCS continues to expand its partnership portfolio. In February, it secured a deal with snack brand PAGODA Snacks and a multi-year partnership with conglomerate AT&T.
