Esports and metaverse company Infinite Reality has secured a five-year partnership with the Global Esports Federation.

As a result, Infinite Reality has been named GEF’s Global Partner for Immersive Experiences and will work with the federation to create digital versions of GEF events through a specialised platform.

In esports, Infinite Reality is best known for being the owner of ReKT Global, the parent company of esports organisations Rogue and the Carolina Royal Ravens. Infinite Reality acquired ReKTGlobal in 2022 for $470m (~£360m at the time). Apart from owning the two esports brands, Infinite Reality is active in the metaverse space and is also the owner of the Drone Racing League.

The deal with the Global Esports Federation will see GEF use Infinite Reality’s knowledge of technologies to create “a suite of immersive experiences”, which will include digital versions of GEF events. This will be done through a custom-made platform that will allow users to watch and interact with GEF events via their mobile phones or PCs.

Not a lot of details were shared about how exactly the new platform will look like and how the two brands aim to attract viewers to it. The partnership comes shortly after the GEF appointed NODWIN and Cinematic as its official portfolio management companies (PMCs) and the announcement of Peru as the host country for the 2025 Global Esports Games.

John Acunto, co-founder and CEO of Infinite Reality, commented on the partnership: “This partnership comes at a time when innovative technologies are rapidly transforming how sports fans, especially younger generations, engage and transact with their favourite teams and athletes.

“As the world turns its attention to Paris and the Olympic games, most of us, who cannot be there in person, will look to virtual experiences to bring us closer to the action.”

ESI Ranking System
We’ve created a ranking system to help you quickly know how good each gambling platform is. As gamblers ourselves, we know which factors matter most to you, so we follow a best-in-class methodology to test each one with no stone unturned. Once done, we then rank each platform based on the following tiers:
  • A-Tier High-quality sites that deliver a top experience every time. They boast strong performance, nice features, and reliable support, but are just shy of perfection.
  • B-Tier Solid platforms that are worth a spin. They’re safe, fun, and functional, but may be lacking advanced features or have minor drawbacks.
  • S-Tier Reserved for elite operators only. These go well beyond the norm with lucrative bonuses, rewarding promotions, lightning-fast payouts, and a flawless experience overall.
