Indian esports and gaming company NODWIN Gaming has named mobile operating system Android as the title partner of BGMI Masters Series (BGMS) Season 3.

As a result of the deal, teams competing at the event will play using high-end Android devices.

Alongside Android devices being used throughout the tournament, the operating system has secured naming rights for NODWIN Gaming’s BGMS competition resulting in the tournament becoming the Android BGMS Season 3.

In addition to Android becoming a title partner of BGMS Season 3, NODWIN Gaming has also unveiled skincare brand Garnier Men as a partner for the tournament. This marks the first time Android and Garnier Men have collaborated with an esports tournament in India.

Energy drink brand Red Bull and anime streaming platform Crunchyroll have also joined forces with NODWIN Gaming to support BGMS Season 3, taking the total number of tournament partners to six with TVS Raider and Philips OneBlade continuing their involvement from previous seasons.

The Android BGMS Season 3 began on July 19th and will run until August 11th. In total, 24 teams will battle it out for the event’s ₹10m INR (~£92,500) prize pool.

Since returning to the Indian market in May 2023, Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) remains one of the region’s most popular esports titles. In January 2024, tournament organiser Skyesports launched a city-based league with 16 teams competing.

Akshat Rathee, Co-founder and Managing Director of NODWIN Gaming, spoke on the partnerships: “We are thrilled to announce our partnership with Android, Garnier Men and Red Bull for the highly anticipated third season of BGMS.

“Their involvement not just highlights the emergence of esports as a mainstream sport but also the massive potential of youth engagement in this field. Together, we are confident in our ability to provide the necessary resources and visibility required to nurture and promote esports talent nationwide.”
