Indian esports tournament organiser Skyesports has announced details about the 2025 competitive season of its Counter-Strike circuit.

The company will organise four international events with a total prize pool of $1.75m (~£1.33m). Three out of the four events will be classified as tier one events, per Valve’s new rules and rankings.

Skyesports is one of the most notable tournament organisers in India and Asia. The company is known for its series of Counter-Strike events, such as the Skyesports Championship and Skyesports Masters. According to the company, the new events are part of its vision of “building globally recognised esports IPs in India.” In addition to Counter-Strike, the company also holds events in other titles, such as the Battlegrounds Mobile: India, a very popular mobile battle royale game in the country.

The 2025 events will kick off with Skyesports Souvenir 2025, an event in February that will feature a $250,000 (~£190,270) prize pool. Skyesports Masters 2025 will be held in late May and early June, the Skyesports Championship is set for September, and the season will end with the Skyesports World Tour in November.

The three events will feature eight teams each and will have a $500,000 (~£380,550) prize pool each, meaning, according to the press release, this will classify the events as tier one in accordance with Valves rules.

Shiva Nandy, Founder and CEO of Skyesports, said: “Our vision since inception in 2018 was to create indigenous IPs and bring international players and teams to India. The 2025 CS2 esports roadmap is a testament to that as we will be hosting all four events in India, with global teams participating. These tournaments will not only strengthen Skyesports’ position as a global esports brand but also showcase India as a crucial market for world-class international esports events.”
