Esports data company Bayes Esports has announced that co-CEO and co-Managing Director Martin Dachselt is departing the company after eight years.

The change will come into effect in November when Dachselt leaves the company to pursue new opportunities. Dachselt will remain connected to the company in a strategic advisory role as of December 1st.

With the co-CEO stepping down from his role, Bayes Esports will now be led by CEO and Managing Director Amir Mirzaee, alongside CFO Christopher Bohlmann and CTO Dr. Notger Heinz. Notger was one of the original parts of DOJO Madness before leaving and returning to Bayes Esports in 2022.

Dachselt has been a long-term member of Bayes Esports, being involved in the company since it was named DOJO Madness. Before transitioning into the esports industry he worked for 25 in tech, most notably as the CTO of Delivery Hero.

In his time at Bayes Esports, he had a considerable impact on the use of data within esports. He also oversaw some of Bayes’ biggest deals, including a distribution partnership with a game publisher Riot Games, a data partnership deal with Genius Sports, becoming the data supplier for Esports World Cup and many more.

CEO and Managing Director Amir Mirzaee spoke on the announcement: “Martin’s accomplishments in developing industry-leading technology have been instrumental in shaping our success and are reflected in the strong network of partnerships and customers we have today.

“I am excited to continue expanding on the strong product suite we have built and driving innovation and growth in the esports space.”
