ESPN and Penn Entertainment have announced some big news for golf bettors looking forward to the 2025 PGA Tour. The two companies have announced plans to launch a live betting stream that will be available via PGA Tour Live on ESPN’s streaming service, ESPN+.
Set to debut at this weekend’s WM Phoenix Open, the service comes on the heels of a multi-year deal between the PGA Tour and PENN Entertainment that made ESPN BET the official sports betting of the PGA Tour.
“ESPN BET on PGA TOUR LIVE is an example of the kind of engaging, innovative programming that only the PGA TOUR, ESPN BET and ESPN can deliver,” said Tim Bunnell, Senior VP of ESPN Programming and International.
“Bringing these unique partnerships together is an important strategy in ESPN’s commitment to covering and expanding the audience for world-class golf across PGA TOUR LIVE on ESPN+, TGL, the Masters, PGA Championship, LPGA and more.”
Live Betting Stream Expected at Six PGA Tour Events
The move to bring a live betting stream to ESPN+ is the latest move by PENN Entertainment to promote the ESPN BET sports betting platform, which launched in the United States in November 2023 and now offers legal sports betting in 19 states, along with Washington DC.

“We’re pleased to partner with the PGA TOUR and grow the ESPN BET brand through innovative betting-themed broadcasts powered by our sportsbook,” said Jason Birney, vice president, of operations, PENN Interactive.
“ESPN BET on PGA TOUR LIVE deepens our already robust media and betting integrations with ESPN and creates unique opportunities to engage golf fans in an entertaining way with compelling up-to-the-minute data and insights.”
The live sports betting feed will stream on ESPN+ during the six PGA Tour events. In addition to providing live golf coverage in the two hours leading up to broadcast, the feed will also provide an early look at key storylines from a betting perspective.
ESPN BET on PGA Tour Live to Feature Top Analysts
The coverage will be hosted by Jonathan Coachman, and will feature on-course reporter Michael Collins and analysts like Matt Every and Graham DeLaet, who will provide commentary and play-by-play on hole-by-hole live betting and tournament markets.
Following its premier at this weekend’s WM Phoenix Open including coverage of the notorious 16th hole at TPC Scottsdale – Stadium Course, sports bettors can look forward to ESPN BET on PGA TOUR LIVE during THE PLAYERS Championship, which gets underway on March 13.
Subsequent PGA Tour events that will feature the ESPN BET live betting stream include the Truist Championship (May 8-11), the Memorial Tournament presented by Workday (May 29-June 1) and the Travelers Championship (June 19-22).
ESPN BET on PGA TOUR LIVE will broadcast from TPC Southwind at Memphis, where the FedEx St. Jude Championship kicks off this season’s FedExCup Playoffs on August 7, 8, 9, an 10.
As part of the deal between PENN Entertainment and the PGA Tour, ESPN Bet and PENN have been granted rights to use PGA Tour marks for fan engagement and advertising, with the goal of further bolstering the ESPN BET sports betting brand among both new and experienced sports bettors.
