With VALORANT Game Changers’ ecosystem in full swing, Riot Games has revealed some notable qualification changes for its season-ending world championship

The women’s VALORANT circuit will now group Brazil, North America and LATAM into a new Americas region, resulting in changes to slot allocation for the 2025 Game Changers Championship.

The total number of slots available for the championship will remain at 10. EMEA will be awarded three, the Pacific will gain two and China will compete for one place. As such, the Americas region will battle for the remaining four spots.

Whilst Americas will be classified as one group, there will still be regional leagues across North America, Brazil and LATAM to crown a separate representative. The final team, however, will be decided through a new Game Changers Americas Last Chance Qualifier (LCQ) event.

Held at Riot Games’ studio in São Paulo, the two-day event will feature the second-place teams from Brazil, LATAM and North America. Following a single round-robin stage on day one, the top two teams will then face off in a best-of-five series to claim the region’s final Game Changers Championship slot.

The change in slot allocation has ultimately provided an opportunity for LATAM and Brazil to feature two teams at this year’s Game Changers Championship.

Previously, these two regions could only qualify one team for the event. On the other hand, North American representatives were selected through circuit points and by winning Series 3. This change sees Brazil, LATAM and North America fight for the final spot via an offline event.

In the announcement, Riot Games noted: “VALORANT is truly a global sport, and we believe that the peak moments should reflect that. We want to ensure that players from all over the world have a fair chance to make it to the Game Changers Championship no matter where they play from.”

Details surrounding where, and exactly when, the VALORANT game Changers Champions is set to take place have not been disclosed.
