North American Rainbow Six Siege player Jason ‘Beaulo’ Doty has announced his retirement from the esport scene for a second time.
The former TSM and DarkZero Esports player first retired in January 2023 before returning to competition for DarkZero Esports in December 2023.
Beaulo’s second run as a professional Rainbow Six Siege player started with the 2024 Six Invitational, where DarkZero Esports earned a top-six finish after defeating the likes of Team Liquid and Spacestation Gaming along the way.
Following the tournament, Beaulo and DarkZero Esports earned places at all international competitions during Year 9 of the Rainbow Six Siege cycle. The BLAST R6 Major Manchester event saw the team place in the top four, which would be the best result for the American during his most recent tenure as a player.
Beaulo’s Rainbow Six career ended at the 2025 Six Invitational with DarkZero Esports scoring a top-eight finish after losing to Team Falcons in the second round of the lower bracket.
Throughout his career, Beaulo has competed at the top of Rainbow Six Siege esports. Notable achievements include winning the 2022 Six Invitational, the 2019 edition of DreamHack Montreal and the 2020 North American Major.
Why is Beaulo Retiring From Rainbow Six Siege?
In an X post published on March 5th, 2025, Beaulo revealed that he ‘no longer has the time to reach excellence.’ The former player also mentions that his second retirement may not be the last time he steps away from Rainbow Six Siege.
In addition, Beaulo recently became a father, resulting in him wanting to focus on his family instead of attempting to balance a playing career on top of looking after his newborn.
Only time will tell if Beaulo decides to return to Rainbow Six Siege esports. At 23 years of age, there is still plenty of time to return and cement his place as one of North America’s best players.
