G2 Esports has announced it has completed a round of Series B investment led by WISE Ventures, part of its ownership group.

As a result, the European esports organisation says it has raised ‘seven figures’ that will be used for expansion on a global scale.

G2 Esports To Expand Esports Titles and Fan Activations

As part of the expansion, G2 Esports will look to expand into new esports titles in addition to supporting its existing esports rosters.

According to a release, the funds will be used for ‘wider investment into the Call of Duty League’ after the organisation obtained full ownership of the Minnesota Rokkr franchise from Version1 in 2023.

Alongside expansion plans, the organisation is also looking to improve its fan offerings. Improvements will include significant updates to its app, ‘major content projects’ and new activations that have yet to be revealed.

The investment round saw several new investors in G2 Esports alongside others who have invested into the organisation during previous funding rounds. Additions include Minnesota Vikings owners WISE Ventures and The Tornante Company, the private equity firm owned by former CEO of The Walt Disney Company, Michael Eisner.

2025 marks a significant year in the history of G2 Esports. This year is the 10th anniversary of the organisation, which has cemented itself as one of the biggest in the world. In the past decade, it has won over one hundred championships across a range of titles including League of Legends and Counter-Strike.

In February, its VALORANT roster won the 2025 VCT Americas Kickoff event.

“This successful investment round and the addition of our new investors showcases G2’s strength and value as an organisation,” says Alban Dechelotte, CEO of G2 Esports.

“This year is our 10th anniversary, and looking back over the last decade, we’ve not only built a globally successful brand with teams that are consistently on top, but also we’ve built a valuable business that’s been profitable for multiple years.”
