Disguised has announced that its bot laner Jeremiah ‘ScaryJerry’ Leathe will be benched for the organisation’s LTA North Split 3 campaign.

ScaryJerry only joined Disguised — an esports organisation founded by popular content creator Jeremy ‘DisguisedToast’ Wang — in January, following the team securing a guest slot in the LTA North.

Disguised has struggled to compete since entering North America’s tier-one competition, placing joint-last in both splits.

In a post announcing the recent departure, Disguised noted that ScaryJerry will continue working with the team. Moreover, the 23-year-old will focus on streaming for the foreseeable future.

Prior to joining Disguised, most of ScaryJerry’s career in League of Legends esports has come from the collegiate and tier two scene. The North American bot laner notably competed for Maryville University, which at one point became Dragonsteel via a partnership with author Brandon Sanderson.

Last year, ScaryJerry won the NACL 2024 Summer split, whilst also finishing second at the League of Legends College Championship 2024.

The announcement follows Disguised releasing its mid laner, Abbedagge, from the roster earlier in the month. This is despite the fact that LTA North Split 2 is still underway, with six teams currently battling it out for a chance to qualify for MSI and the Esports World Cup.

The North American organisation suffered an early exit from the competition after only winning one match in the split, against Team Liquid in the Positioning Phase. Disguised would later finish bottom in the Group Stage before being eliminated by 100 Thieves.

Why Is Disguised Making These Roster Changes?

As a holder of the LTA North’s Guest Slot, Disguised’s participation in North America’s tier-one event is not guaranteed post-2025 season. Given the team’s performances across both splits so far this year, it seems the organisation is looking to revamp its roster, not only for Split 3, but also for the 2026 promotion tournament.

The 2026 promotion tournament will feature Disguised alongside the top two teams in the NACL as well as the two best teams in Liga Regional Norte, with one spot in LTA North on the line. Aside from knowing it will take place after the LTA season, specific dates have not been announced.
