Cryptocurrency derivatives trading platform Flipster has announced an exclusive partnership with Asian esports organisation TALON.

As part of the agreement, TALON’s Dota 2 team will now compete under the newly branded name Flipster Talon, with Flipster securing team naming rights for the next year.

The partnership also designates Flipster as the Official Crypto Exchange Partner of TALON.

TALON Partnership Aims to Bring Web3 Culture to Asia-Pacific’s Gaming Scene

As TALON’s ‘Official Crypto Exchange Partner‘, Flipster aims to target a digitally native audience that shares values of openness, creativity and inclusion, ideals central to both Web3 and gaming communities.

“Esports is one of the most exciting frontiers for Web3 culture to thrive,” said Youngsun Shin, Head of Product and Partnerships at Flipster.

Beginning with the Flipster Talon Dota 2 roster, the two partners will launch co-branded content, campaign drops, and interactive fan experiences designed to make crypto more engaging and accessible to gamers.

TALON currently competes in 10 esports titles, including VALORANT and League of Legends, across countries such as Thailand, Taiwan, South Korea, the Philippines and Indonesia.

The organisation recently announced a sportsbook partnership with Mel.bet in April, further reinforcing its commitment to the Dota 2 scene.

TALON also raised $2m in seed funding in February. It was previously partnered with Paris Saint-Germain in 2020 to form PSG Talon, a League of Legends team that qualified for the 2020 World Championship. That collaboration concluded in early January 2025.

Flipster Brings Advanced Crypto Trading Capabilities to the Esports Arena

For Flipster, known for offering over 300 crypto trading pairs, up to 100x leverage, and zero fees, the partnership is said to be a long-term strategy to integrate crypto utility within digital entertainment ecosystems.

A full Flipster Talon rollout is expected in June, featuring new player signings, a launch video, and extensive co-branded media.
