Revived MOBA game Heroes of Newerth Reborn has entered its Closed Alpha Testing stage, introducing new content and rewards for alpha testers.

The title announced the new game phase on May 15th ahead of the Closed Beta kickoff on July 1st.

Players who gained access to the Closed Alpha have been able to experience Heroes of Newerth Reborn, including over 80 Heroes, upgraded engine and game servers and matchmaking with role selection. The alpha further features a new Phoenix Boss, Ravens and Balance updates as well as the Forest of Caldavar and Midwars.

On the day of the announcement, the game also shared several Closed Alpha codes, which are limited in supply.

Moreover, supporters of the game’s Juvio Genesis Campaign have been awarded additional perks based on their supporter tier. Members of the Kongo Slayer Tier and higher were given four alpha codes to share with friends. The Warlord Tier received immediate access to the Alpha Test.

Similarly, the upcoming Closed Beta will begin with the game’s top tier Genesis Campaign supporters.

Heroes of Newerth Returns

Heroes of Newerth was originally released in 2010 by S2 Games. The ground-breaking MOBA title was shut down in 2022 and is now receiving a revival with Heroes of Newerth Reborn.

The new project is brought to life through a collaboration between Kongor Studios and Garena.

Kongor Studios harbours several former S2 Games developers and developed a community project, Project KONGOR, inspired by the original Heroes of Newerth.

“After years of community support and the dedication of a passionate fan base, we are beyond excited to bring Heroes of Newerth back to life,” shared Jesse Hayes, Co-Founder of Kongor Studios, when the revival was confirmed in January.

“This isn’t just a relaunch, but a reimagining of what the game can be in today’s competitive gaming world. From the visuals to the network performance, we’ve worked hard to bring the best possible experience to both veteran players and newcomers.”

ESI Ranking System
We’ve created a ranking system to help you quickly know how good each gambling platform is. As gamblers ourselves, we know which factors matter most to you, so we follow a best-in-class methodology to test each one with no stone unturned. Once done, we then rank each platform based on the following tiers:
  • A-Tier High-quality sites that deliver a top experience every time. They boast strong performance, nice features, and reliable support, but are just shy of perfection.
  • B-Tier Solid platforms that are worth a spin. They’re safe, fun, and functional, but may be lacking advanced features or have minor drawbacks.
  • S-Tier Reserved for elite operators only. These go well beyond the norm with lucrative bonuses, rewarding promotions, lightning-fast payouts, and a flawless experience overall.
