Apeks has announced Diogo ‘OLIZERA’ Oliveira as the newest addition to its VALORANT roster ahead of VCT EMEA Stage 2.

According to the esports organisation, the Portuguese sentinel player has already arrived in Berlin to prepare for the final regional event of VALORANT’s 2025 competitive season.

The European team advanced to VCT EMEA by winning last year’s Ascension tournament. Since then, however, Apeks has struggled to find footing in the new competitive environment. Throughout Kickoff and Stage 1, the team has lost all its matches and thus failed to qualify for any international competitions.

With such a slow start to the season, Apeks might drop to Ascension after Stage 2 to fight for its tier-one spot one again. To make matters worse, the roster lost Peter ‘Governor’ No as well as its duelist, Ava ‘Florescent’ Eugene, in April.

While OLIZERA has filled one of the gaps in the roster, Apeks still needs a fifth member until the start of VCT EMEA Stage 2. Its first match will be against NAVI on July 16th at 6 pm BST.

Stage 2 also represents Apeks’ final opportunity to earn a spot at the season-ending VALORANT Champions event.

Who is Apeks’ New Sentinel Player?

OLIZERA’s professional VALORANT career began in 2021 under Portuguese team ehehxd. Since then, he has competed for a variety of tier-two and tier-three teams. Ahead of his signing with Apeks, he spent time with KOI Fénix, the academy team of Spanish organisation KOI.

Together, the team won Challengers 2025 Spain: Rising Stage 2 and finished third at the Challengers 2025 EMEA: Stage 2.

OLIZERA also thanked KOI when commenting on his move to Apeks on social media: “Proud to officially join Apeks and begin my journey in tier 1, thanks for believing and giving me this opportunity, ready to give everything.

“Endless thanks to KOI and all the KOISITOS who’ve been a part of this amazing chapter, couldn’t have done without you guys! Time for a new one – let’s get to work.”
