
Lynn Vision Gaming and 3DMAX have been eliminated from Stage 3 of the BLAST.tv Austin Major.
Defeats to Legacy and PaiN Gaming saw the two sides end the stage with a 1-3 win-to-loss record. Elsewhere, FaZe Clan and Team Vitality have secured a place at the Playoffs, joining FURIA and Team Spirit.
Lynn Vision, Aurora and 3DMAX’s Major Comes To End

After catching the attention of the Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) community, Lynn Vision Gaming and Legacy faced off for a place in the fifth and final round of Stage 3. The Chinese side dominated Dust II with a 13-2 score line before the last-minute Brazilian replacements responded with a convincing 13-3 win on Inferno to level the series.
Despite the best efforts of Lynn Vision, Legacy’s defence held strong, securing a 13-5 win to earn one more shot at making an unprecedented run to the Moody Center.
PaiN Gaming’s Austin Major campaign continues after sweeping aside 3DMAX in a hard-fought best-of-three series. The Brazilians opened proceedings with a 13-9 Inferno victory before wrapping up Nuke 16-12 to earn a place in round five.
For Aurora Gaming and MOUZ, a loss and elimination at the Major would round off a disappointing tournament for two of the best teams in the world. Despite a strong start from Aurora, MOUZ responded to win Train 13-10 for an early series lead.
An evenly matched half on Inferno set the scene for a battle to the finish. Aurora managed to level the series with a 13-11 for send the series to a deciding map. MOUZ bounced back with a 13-6 win to stay alive in Austin.
After starting to click with Oleksandr ‘S1mple’ Kostyliev on the starting lineup, FaZe Clan locked in a Playoff place with a victory against The MongolZ.
FaZe Clan secured Ancient 13-11, placing the Mongolian team on the back foot. The Red Militia continued to build on the initial momentum, racing to a 10-2 lead in the first half of Anubis before taking a 13-4 win to earn a place on Counter-Strike’s biggest stage. Despite the loss, The MongolZ has another shot at qualification in round five.
Elsewhere, a G2 Esports roster competing for the final time faced off against NAVI. A hotly contested Mirage favoured the Ukrainian organisation, putting it on the cusp of the top eight. G2 answered back after slowly establishing a lead on Anubis to tie the series at one map apiece.
A deciding Inferno saw both sides trade rounds back and forth until G2 sent the series into overtime. NAVI’s defence prevailed, winning 19-16 to advance.
Following the end of a 30-match win-streak at the hands of Legacy, Team Vitality had an opportunity to secure a place in the Playoffs with victory over an in-form Virtus.pro side. The French organisation secured 13-6 results on Train and Dust II to move to the Moody Center.
What’s Next?
With more teams booking a place in the Playoffs while others head home, four teams with a 2-2 record will compete in the final round of Stage 3. The three matches that take place on June 15th are as follows:
