Esports analytics and viewership platform Esports Charts has announced it will boycott Tekken 8 event BRICS Tournament.

The platform will not record the tournament, which is organised by the Russian Esports Federation, within its database or track its viewing figures.

In a social media post published on June 2nd, 2025, the platform says the decision not to cover the Tekken 8 tournament is ‘a direct result of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, RESF’s involvement in occupied territories, and the ongoing shelling.’ BRICS Tournament concluded on June 1st, 2025.

“Our decision of not covering this event signifies that it will not appear in our tournament database or blog: we will not track its viewership and its results will not affect the totals of discipline prize pools, or club profiles on our platform,” said a statement from Esports Charts.

Esports Charts is part of Ukrainian-based analytics company AWERTI, which rebranded to its latest name in May 2025. In February 2022, Russia invaded Ukraine, resulting in several game developers and esports tournament organisers issuing a range of sanctions.

While the conflict between the two countries continues, the esports industry slowly reintegrated Russian-based players and organisations into international competition after meeting specific requirements.

Will Esports Charts Boycott Other Events?

With Esports Charts deciding to boycott BRICS Tournament, the chances of the platform not providing coverage to other tournaments operated by the RESF are high.

As for other tournaments taking place across the world, the platform continues to provide data and insight across several genres.

ESI Ranking System
We’ve created a ranking system to help you quickly know how good each gambling platform is. As gamblers ourselves, we know which factors matter most to you, so we follow a best-in-class methodology to test each one with no stone unturned. Once done, we then rank each platform based on the following tiers:
  • A-Tier High-quality sites that deliver a top experience every time. They boast strong performance, nice features, and reliable support, but are just shy of perfection.
  • B-Tier Solid platforms that are worth a spin. They’re safe, fun, and functional, but may be lacking advanced features or have minor drawbacks.
  • S-Tier Reserved for elite operators only. These go well beyond the norm with lucrative bonuses, rewarding promotions, lightning-fast payouts, and a flawless experience overall.
