Gaming and esports data company GRID Esports has unveiled GRID Insights, an AI-powered analytics product for esports broadcasts and betting products.

The product will generate a variety of insights into esports broadcasts, adding additional context to viewers in real-time.

GRID Insights debuted during Season 3 of the Champion of Champions Tour (CCT), a Counter-Strike 2 esports circuit which now displays insights while matches are taking place. In addition to Counter-Strike esports, the product also supports other titles, including Dota 2, VALORANT and League of Legends.

Alongside CCT, the European Pro League will also use the product across its portfolio of esports tournaments.

In addition to integrating into esports broadcasts, GRID Insights will also provide bookmakers with even greater detail, offering customers even more insights while betting on competitions.

“With GRID Insights, we’re building the storytelling engine of live esports, powered entirely by official data,” said Moritz Maurer, CEO of GRID.

“We use official in-game data and real-time pipelines to generate predictions, contextual stats and behavioural patterns that previously required an analyst team.”

The launch of GRID Insights is the second product the company has launched in 2025. In May, it unveiled GRID Stream, a video solution aimed at providing bookmakers with real-time video feeds.

In recent months, the role of AI within the esports industry has increased, with various stakeholders utilising it across a range of verticals.

The likes of Cloud9 and NRG have launched AI-powered chatbots to increase fan engagement, while researchers in South Korea have developed a model for an AI-powered in-game observer which determines the most interesting aspects of a match for viewers to watch.

With several esports events already utilising the product, it will be interesting to see if others follow suit and benefit from real-time insights designed to enhance the viewing experience.

ESI Ranking System
We’ve created a ranking system to help you quickly know how good each gambling platform is. As gamblers ourselves, we know which factors matter most to you, so we follow a best-in-class methodology to test each one with no stone unturned. Once done, we then rank each platform based on the following tiers:
  • A-Tier High-quality sites that deliver a top experience every time. They boast strong performance, nice features, and reliable support, but are just shy of perfection.
  • B-Tier Solid platforms that are worth a spin. They’re safe, fun, and functional, but may be lacking advanced features or have minor drawbacks.
  • S-Tier Reserved for elite operators only. These go well beyond the norm with lucrative bonuses, rewarding promotions, lightning-fast payouts, and a flawless experience overall.
