HEROIC and B8 have become the first two teams to advance to the second stage of the BLAST.tv Austin Major.

HEROIC commenced its Austin Major campaign with a win over Chinggis Warriors on Anubis before following up with a victory over NRG on Dust II. To secure a place in Stage 2, the team defeated FlyQuest 2-1 to complete an impressive 3-0 record.

Moreover, B8 followed a similar path to the second stage of the Major. A win on Inferno against Imperial Esports was followed by another victory on the same map over OG Esports, setting up a clash against Wildcard in the third round of matches. B8 took the series 2-1, becoming the second team to advance.

While Heroic and B8 moved onto the next stage, the first two teams of the Austin Major were eliminated. Fluxo and Metizport bowed out of the event after failing to score a win in the opening three rounds.

Fluxo was defeated by FlyQuest and Complexity before losing to Chinggis Warriors in a hard-fought best-of-three series. Meanwhile, Metizport lost to Wildcard, TyLoo, and Imperial Esports. As the first two teams eliminated, they each receive $5,000 (~£3,686) in prize money.
