Call of Duty League franchise team Toronto Ultra has extended its existing partnership with hardware brand AMD.

As a result of the extension, the brand will continue providing its range of PC hardware to players representing the franchise.

As part of the partnership, Toronto Ultra players will utilise Radeon graphics cards and Ryzen processors from AMD to ensure their PCs are reliable while competing in online competitions.

The extension sees AMD remain as one of four partners supporting the only CDL franchise based outside of the United States. Alongside the hardware brand, internet service provider Bell, gaming furniture manufacturer Blacklyte and controller manufacturer SCUF complete the franchise’s partnership portfolio.

“Our mission is to win championships and AMD has been an essential part of our team’s competitive edge,” said Neil Duffy, Chief Commercial Officer of the Americas at OverActive Media, in a LinkedIn post.

“From community to competitive, AMD is an amazing partner and we can’t wait to continue this relationship for years to come.”

The franchise is one of eight that will compete at the CDL’s season-ending Championship Weekend, an event being hosted by its parent company OverActive Media. Taking place from June 26th to 29th, the event will crown the 2025 CDL Champion.

Toronto Ultra is one of several esports teams owned by the company. In addition to the franchise, OverActive Media also owns the League of Legends team Movistar KOI. In April, the company reported a 73% increase in revenue CAD $15.7m (~£8.5m) in 2023 to CAD $27m (~£14.6m) in 2024.

Toronto Ultra’s Impressive 2025

Alongside securing an extension with an existing partner, 2025 has been a strong year for Toronto’s CDL franchise. The franchise ended the regular season with 370 CDL Points, securing the third seed for Champs.

It also scored two top-three finishes at Major 2 and Major 3, taking home $100,000 USD (~£73,915) in prize money.

  • A-Tier High-quality sites that deliver a top experience every time. They boast strong performance, nice features, and reliable support, but are just shy of perfection.
  • B-Tier Solid platforms that are worth a spin. They’re safe, fun, and functional, but may be lacking advanced features or have minor drawbacks.
