Battlefield 6 release date, early access and open beta revealed

During the Battlefield 6 multiplayer reveal event, EA announced the game’s release date, early access and open beta weekends, along with its pre-order details.

The title will launch globally on October 10th, with early access to be available on August 7th and 8th. Talking about the open beta, developers said fans will be able to participate in the beta on August 9th, 10th, 14th and 17th.

Players who are already signed up for Battlefield Labs are automatically eligible for early access, while others will have to watch partnered streamers on July 31st to receive keys via Twitch Drops.

The open beta, however, will be available for everyone to download and play, with pre-load starting August 4th on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.

Battlefield 6 will have two editions, as previously leaked — Standard and Phantom, with both available for pre-order. 

The Standard Edition includes base game and Tombstone Pack as a pre-order bonus, while the Phantom Edition offers additional in-game rewards as well.

Even though a lot of details are still under wraps, especially regarding battle royale mode, the future is looking promising so far based on the available details. The developers have introduced multiple new game-changing mechanics and nine multiplayer maps have already been revealed.

Battlefield 2042’s poor reception didn’t give DICE a chance to focus on competitive side of the game. However, if everything is executed properly for Battlefield 6, it could be the redemption arc the franchise desperately needs.
