The qualifiers for ESL Pro League Season 22 have concluded, with four teams booking their place through regional qualifiers.

As a result, the four teams have earned a place in the first stage of the competition, taking place from September 27th to October 1st, 2025.

Europe

With the likes of Team Liquid, Fnatic and Nemiga Gaming headlining the European qualifier, fans expected a notable name from the region to secure a place in the Pro League.

Team Liquid missed out on a place in Stage 2 following defeat at the hands of Sashi Esport, with the Danish side also defeating Fnatic in the quarter-finals of Stage 2.

With two of the heavy-hitters out of contention, the Ukrainian side of Team NEXT LEVEL continued to battle through with wins over 9INE, Passion UA, and Sashi Esport to qualify for the upper bracket final.

A 2-1 victory over Nemiga set up a clash with PARIVISION in the Grand Final, with NEXT LEVEL scoring a 2-0 victory and a place in Pro League.

North America

Following a disappointing BLAST.tv Austin Major, the North American qualifiers saw M80 back in action following the departure of Ethan ‘reck’ Serrano.

M80 made it into Stage 2 with ease, sweeping aside Outfit 49 with a 2-0 win to advance to the next phase of the qualifiers. Wins over MarcaRegistrada and BLUEJAYS earned the team a place in the upper bracket final.

A 2-1 loss to Getting Info sent M80 into the lower bracket, but a 2-0 sweep of Marsborne quickly set up a rematch with Getting Info in the Grand Final. M80 avenged the earlier loss with a 2-0 win, joining NRG as the second North American side in Season 22 of Pro League.

South America

The South American qualifier features some notable names from the region looking for a chance to compete on the international stage. After a Cinderella run at the Austin Major, Legacy returned to action along with 9z, Elevate and Imperial Esports.

9z, Legacy and Imperial successfully earned a place in Stage 2, with Imperial defeating 9z in the semi-final and Legacy winning against Sharks Esports to set up a tantalising clash in the upper bracket final.

Imperial emerged victorious over Legacy with a 2-1 scoreline to earn the first Grand Final place, while Legacy managed to overcome Sharks Esports in the lower bracket final to secure the second.

After a hotly contested final, Legacy scored the win and a place at Pro League, continuing from the impressive form from the Major.

Asia

Asian Counter-Strike 2 continues to make an impact on the international scene, with the likes of TYLOO and Lynn Vision Gaming frequently appearing in Tier 1 tournaments.

Eight teams, including IHC Esports, Chinggis Warriors and HOTU, earned a place in Stage 2, with HOTU and IHC Esports making their way to the Grand Final.

HOTU dominated from the outset, taking Nuke and Train with 13-3 scorelines on both maps to earn the final Pro League place.

What’s Next For ESL Pro League?

With all 24 teams now decided, attention will turn to the start of Stage 1 of ESL Pro League Season 22, taking place from September 27th to October 1st at the ESL Studio in Stockholm, Sweden.

The top eight teams from Stage 1 will qualify for Stage 2, with the resulting top eight teams advancing to the Playoffs, taking place from October 9th to 13th.
