Riot Games has announced it will continue with its Twitch subscription initiative across League of Legends esports (LoL Esports) broadcasts for Split 3.

The initiative will be providing fans with an enhanced viewing experience, and a portion of the proceeds collected will be directed to the Global Revenue Pool, which directly supports the tier-one LoL Esports ecosystem.

Initially rolled out following Riot Games’ test last August in the LCS playoffs, Twitch subscriptions have been applied to all major region competitions, including EMEA, the Americas, China and Korea.

For the upcoming third and last split of the 2025 LoL esports season, Twitch subscriptions will also be applied to the official LCP Twitch channel.

Subscribers will earn a variety of benefits, ranging from ad-free viewing to a Subscriber-only chat where fans can take part in exclusive discussions while watching matches. Moreover, paid and gifted subscribers will also receive the new Pengu Garen ‘Bring it On’ emote starting on July 21st. This means that Prime subscriptions are ineligible to claim the rewards.

The Current State of League of Legends Esports

The Global Revenue Pool (GRP) is an initiative created by Riot to allow teams to increase revenues through the digital LoL Esports content. The goal is to bring better financial upside and more consistent revenue for teams, improving overall long-term sustainability.

After the Mid-Season Invitational and the Esports World Cup, teams across all major regions will be competing for a spot at Worlds, which will take place in China later this season.

After winning back-to-back MSI titles, Korean team Gen.G is the first team to qualify for the year-end World Championship.

With LCK and LPL being the two best-performing regions, each will get one additional seed. The two fourth seeds, however, will have to play a best-of-five series to determine the last team to join the top 16 and the Swiss stage.

ESI Ranking System
We’ve created a ranking system to help you quickly know how good each gambling platform is. As gamblers ourselves, we know which factors matter most to you, so we follow a best-in-class methodology to test each one with no stone unturned. Once done, we then rank each platform based on the following tiers:
  • A-Tier High-quality sites that deliver a top experience every time. They boast strong performance, nice features, and reliable support, but are just shy of perfection.
  • B-Tier Solid platforms that are worth a spin. They’re safe, fun, and functional, but may be lacking advanced features or have minor drawbacks.
  • S-Tier Reserved for elite operators only. These go well beyond the norm with lucrative bonuses, rewarding promotions, lightning-fast payouts, and a flawless experience overall.
