What’s taking place at QuakeCon 2025?

QuakeCon 2025 has revealed online the biggest highlights for its upcoming LAN party experience for attendees to enjoy.

The event is scheduled to take place from August 7th to 10th, 2025, in Texas, USA, including popular gaming titles, tabletop sessions, esports competitions and more.

On August 7th, there will be ‘bring your own computer’ (BYOC) community tournaments, where attendees can compete with their own PC setups. According to the QuakeCon website, various competitions will be held throughout QuakeCon.

  • Doom II Deathmatch
  • Rise of the Triad
  • QuakeLive Clan Arena
  • Quake Champions Duel open registration

The next day, on August 8th, more Quake tournaments will begin alongside arcade competitions. The biggest highlight will be the Quake Champions Duel Open, which will have both a Group and Bracket Play.

According to the QuakeCon web page, it is a 1v1 competition featuring up to 32 players, competing in a double-elimination bracket. The Quake Champions Duel Open will have a Bo3 series, with a map pool of seven, and prizes sponsored by RedBull.

These are all the competitive and esports events occurring on that day.

  • QuakeLivew HotSeat
  • QuakeLive CTF
  • Quake Champions Duel Open Group Play
  • Quake Champions Duel Open Bracket Play
  • Quake Champions 2v2
  • Rocket League 2v2
  • Deathball arcade tournament
  • Flash Beast arcade tournament.

Day three, on August 9th, will see various competitions continue alongside the addition of new ones. The Quake Champions Duel Open will also host it’s finals before finishing the event and announcing its winner. These are all the competitive events happening on the third day of QuakeCon 2025.

  • Aletered TCG World Championship Qualifier
  • Modern Doom Speedrun Showcase: Slayer vs Slayer Exhibition Tournament
  • QuakeLive Duel
  • Rocket League 3v3
  • Quake Champions Duel Open Finals
  • Quake Champions Sacrifice
  • QuakeLive Megamatch

There will be various events taking place alongside these competitions, such as play lounges, PC building contests, tabletop sessions and more.

The final day, August 10th, will see the conclusion of the QuakeCon 2025 event and all BYOC competitions, with various smaller activities such as arcades, interactive adventures, and event partner booths available for attendees.
