S8UL Esports (S8UL) has announced that smartphone brand iQOO will become the official title sponsor for its Esports World Cup (EWC) 2025 campaign in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
This sponsorship further builds on iQOO’s collaboration with S8UL’s Battlegrounds Mobile India team, now called Team iQOO SOUL, with its brand featured on S8UL’s team jerseys, activations and digital content.
As part of the sponsorship, S8UL will host weekly EWC watch parties throughout the event, and the S8UL Gaming House will be open to fans as a dedicated hub during the tournament.
Animesh ‘8Bit Thug‘ Agarwal, Co-founder and CEO of S8UL, commented on the deal: “Our journey with iQOO began almost two years ago with our BGMI roster and it’s grown alongside our ambitions ever since. Partnering once again for the Esports World Cup 2025 is a significant step forward for both of us.
“Having iQOO as our title sponsor highlights our shared vision of growing Indian esports and competing with the best on the world stage. Together, we’re proud to carry the hopes of an entire nation.”
The Indian esports organisation has qualified for EWC events in Apex Legends and EA FC 25. Aaron ‘Happy’ Rivera will compete for one of the four remaining EWC spots at the FC Pro 25 Play-ins. In addition, S8UL’s Chess players Nihal Sarin and Aravindh Chithambaram will be competing in a Last Chance Qualifier from July 24th to 26th.
However, S8UL’s Mobile Legends Bang Bang team has been disqualified by MOONTON Games from competing in the Mid-Season Cup 2025 event during EWC. This was because some of its players had recently competed in an Honor of Kings event, which breached Mid-Season Cup rules.
“Esports in India is evolving rapidly, and we’re proud to strengthen our association with S8UL as they represent India on one of the biggest international stages,” added Nipun Marya, CEO of iQOO. “Our collaboration reflects iQOO’s focus on connecting with the performance-centric community and supporting talent that’s redefining competitive gaming in India.”
