The PUBG Americas Series 6 (PAS6) kicked off earlier today with its first round of Open Qualifiers.

Offering a $50,000 (~£37,000) total prize pool and direct qualification for the PUBG Global Series 9 and 10 (PGS9 & PGS10), here is everything to know about the Americas tournament.

The PUBG Americas Series has returned in the second half of the year, featuring an extensive format and high stakes.

Throughout the Open Qualifiers in August, the tournament includes separate North and South American regions, which will unify for the Group Stage, Last Chance and Grand Finals in September.

The best three teams from PAS6 will directly qualify for PGS9 and 10 in September and November. Moreover, all top-performing squads will score part of the total prize pool and PGC Points towards securing a spot in the PUBG Global Championship 2025.

PUBG Americas Series 6 Format and Schedule

Here are the details about PUBG Americas Series 6 event’s stages and schedule:

Open Qualifiers

PAS6’s Open Qualifiers are split into the North America (NA) and South America (SA) divisions, each featuring up to 128 teams. 

The Round of 128 commenced at 12 AM BST today with six best-of-six (BO6) matches. Afterwards, the format will continue as follows:

  • Round of 64 (BO6): August 27th
  • Round of 32 (BO12): August 28th and 29th
  • Round of 16 (BO12): August 31th and September 1st

The Qualifiers will conclude with the top eight contestants from NA and the top seven SA teams advancing to the Playoffs.

Group Stage

For the Group Stage, the 15 teams hailing from the Open Qualifiers will face off against nine invited competitors that have yet to be revealed. These 24 teams will be divided into three groups of eight. Each contestant will play 12 matches within its group across three days, from September 6th until September 8th. 

At the end of the Group Stage, the top eight rosters will directly qualify to the Grand Finals, while the remaining 16 teams must first fight through the Last Chance stage.

Last Chance & Grand Finals

The Last Chance phase will take place on September 14th and 15th, with six matches being played per day. The emerging top eight teams will reconvene with the top Group Stage squads in the PAS6 Grand Finals.

Although KRAFTON has already confirmed September 20th-22nd as the Grand Finals dates, further details regarding its location and format will be announced in the weeks to come.
